About Us:

Growing Chefs! Ontario is a registered charity based in London that unites chefs, growers, educators and community members in children’s food education projects. Our mission is to get kids excited about wholesome healthy food, and to build and maintain a healthy, empowered community that is engaged with our food system.

About the Community Cooking Challenge:

For several years Growing Chefs! Ontario has been exploring ideas for how to get community members, parents and children involved in cooking workshops with our organization. Through our in-school and community programs we have seen first-hand the impact of our cooking sessions on the children who participate, but we have also been made aware of the struggles that some parents have had with continuing to cook with their children afterwards.

This is where you come in! Along with a team of two other employees, you will be involved in the creation and promotion of videos for the launch of the Community Cooking Challenge Events - cooking workshops run in various community locations under the guidance of the Growing Chefs! Ontario team. With your help, these videos and supplementary resources will provide the support to get community members and families exploring cooking together both at, and outside of, the Community Cooking Challenge Events.
