Lucas Professional Search Group is currentlyl working with a client in their search for a Systems Administrator in St. Marys, Ontario.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- manage and administer the day to day operation of the computer system and related hardware
- integrate open source solutions with Windows and iSeries environments, website, firewalls, networking equipment and punch clocks
- monitor and respond to system messages/computer problems
- maintain Windows environment - Windows servers, active directory, and desktops
- perform file server/website/PC software maintenance
- train staff on using server/PC software

Qualifications:
- degree or diploma in Computer Science or related experience
- at least 2 years network support experience, preferably in a warehouse environment or equivalent
- advanced programming experience with java, PHP, SQL, HTML
- advanced working knowledge of LAMP servers using RedHat and Ubuntu
- advanced working knowledge of networking equipment
- advanced working knowledge of Server hardware, SCSI and RAID
- advanced working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LDAP and DSL
- advanced working knowledge of Lotus Domino, Notes, Lotus Script and formula language
- good verbal and written communication skills
- flexible to be on call as required
- effective problem solving skills
