Hours: Up to 6 hours per week

The School of Contemporary Media is seeking Part-time Professors to teach in its 3D Animation and Character Design, and Video Game Design and Development programs.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Remaining current in the field of study and maintain awareness of emerging trends and practices related to teaching and learning in higher education
- Superior computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and to working within a team environment
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level preferred
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 2-year diploma in Animation, Game Art and Design, Fine Art or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a video game or film production environment
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- A strong portfolio showing a range of professional work and experience
- A strong sense of design and colour theory
- Practical industry experience, which may include:
a. Concept art, texturing, rigging, lighting, character design, and 3D animation
b. Expertise in the Autodesk (3D Max, Maya, XSI, Mudbox), Unity, Adobe Creative Cloud, MoCap, 3D Printing, ZBrush, UNITY
