The nitty-gritty:

The primary responsibility of a full-time 2D Artist - YoWorld is to help create final game-ready assets for characters, environments, props and many other items for YoWorld (https://www.facebook.com/YoVille).
This position is available at either our London, ON or Toronto, ON studio.

The Duties:

• Creating compelling assets for our games by working closely with the rest of the team
• Working independently and collaboratively with team members to develop unique assets which fit the style established
• Creating all required assets including game characters, icons, logos, menus, and backgrounds
• Taking verbal concepts through to final execution of artwork
• Working closely with other artists along with game designers and producer to ship quality games on time and on budget

The Essentials:

• 3+ years of experience creating game art preferably in the social/mobile gaming space
• B.A. or B.F.A in design, multimedia or equivalent experience
• Extensive Adobe Photoshop experience, along with experience in Illustrator & Flash
• Proven track record of creating appealing, high quality characters and environments
• Experience taking features from concept to final in-game art
• Strong background in multiple 2D disciplines
• Task driven, self-motivated and proactive
