Job Description

Mitsui High-tec (Canada), Inc. is new company starting a manufacturing facility in Brantford and we require a Production Leader to join our team!  There is huge potential for future growth due to our state of the art technology in the ever growing ecofriendly vehicles market.  At the same time, we realize we may have to face obstacles in the process of growing our business in Canada.  We are looking for a person who exhibits enthusiasm in our dreams and would like to help us reach our long term goals.  As a company we would like a person who can grow with us and be an important asset for many years to come.  This position is entry level; however, we are hoping that the successful candidate will grow and develop in the role and will assume a Supervisory or higher position in the future.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Leader will be responsible for ensuring the products are in compliance with customer and company standards and production goals and targets are met.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervises daily operations of the Production staff as an active contributor/leader
  • Full responsibility for the production shift, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ensures compliance of production schedules
  • Manage and prioritize all production processes and implements production plans
  • Analyze staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to production schedules and budget for production processes
  • Evaluates production employee performance
  • Ensure the safety of the workforce
  • Evaluate and maintain all department budgets and analyze variances
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follows up with “customer is right” attitude
  • Identify problem areas, recommend, coordinate, and implement solutions
  • Collaborates with other departments to maintain the ISO quality systems
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Production Leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of the metal stamping operation preferred
  • Understanding and experience with ISO based quality systems
  • Strong team building and team leadership with experience in a leader position
  • Licensed for forklift operation preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
