Currently we are seeking the following positions:
CNC TEAM LEADERS
Primary Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate department and delegate responsibilities within the department to achieve deadlines
- Ensure conformance to engineering specifications
- Responsible for operation of mutiple CNC machining centre simultaneously
- Knowledge of programming, specifically using Power Mill programming software
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to acquire close tolerance cuts and shapes
- Monitor multiple machining processes to identify potential problems with material, equipment and to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Perform preventative and daily maintenance on tools and machines including lubrication, cleaning, replacement cutting tools, grinding cutters, and sharpening tools; clean work areas
- Receive incoming materials to prepare for machining as well as completed tools for rework
- Work closely with other leaders and departments to achieve best output
Qualifications:
- 5 years or more experience in the machinist trade in a manufacturing setting
- Previous leadership experience an asset
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalency
- Journeyman Machinist (CNC or General Machinist) an asset
- Acceptable knowledge of CNC machining, tooling and operation of CNC machine controls
- Basic ability to read manufacturing drawings and use calibrated instruments
