Design Group Staffing has an opportunity for a Program/Project Engineer for a Tier 1 automotive parts supplier in the greater London area. This is a permanent position offering a base salary for 75-90K with benefits.

Role Overview: Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will support customer requirements and design, develop, prototype, coordinate and implement new products while working closely with all stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the product development cycle while maintaining daily contact with the APQP team, designers, suppliers and managers, supporting the program needs from inception to launch
Maintain constant communication with the customer to update on project scope, deadlines and new design concepts
Manage cost timelines, manpower and quality for launch milestones including updating and disseminating engineering changes, tooling needs
Analyze existing and proposed products then design proposal’s to optimize performance structure mass and cost
Participate in R&D and track efforts for SR&ED
Oversee compliance with all company policies, procedures relating to Quality & Environmental Management Systems
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience in automotive tier 1 environment
Bring comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes in casting, forming, bending and extrusion with high strength steel
Demonstrate knowledge of AIAG tools, ISO/TS 16949 QMS environment, GD&T and 3D CAD design
Have strong capabilities in project management methodologies, MS office
Display exceptional people, team and communication skills
