Job Description
Our Client in the Hamilton Wentworth area is looking for an entry level Mechanical Planner.
Skills & Qualifications:
Background with Mechanical and/or trades
Must have 1-5 yrs experience in HEAVY INDUSTRIES, eg. Steel, Mining, Pulp & Paper.
Identify, develop, implement and manage maintenance projects from conception to implementation.
Supervise construction work force consisting of multiple trades during the construction/installation phase of projects.
Provide mechanical knowledge support to maintenance and operation personnel.
Work with outside consultants, engineering firms, suppliers and contractors.
Technical/Feasibility studies.
Prepare project management charts.
Site supervision during construction/installation phase.
Conduct commissioning tests, with and/or without outside experts.
Follow up on effectiveness of projects after implementation.
Assist maintenance in troubleshooting, problem solving and supervision for shutdown and down-days.
Organize and supervise major machinery overhaul/repair activities during extended plant shutdowns.
Ensure that QS9000, ISO9002, TS16949 and ISO14001 maintenance procedures are followed.
