On behalf of our client, a small-business accounting firm in London, ON, we are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer on a full time, contract basis.
 
Duties (may include and not limited to)

• General bookkeeping, data entry and journal entries for clients in various industries
• Preparation of government remittances
• Prepare and calculate corporate taxes
• Preparation of financial statements as required
• Prepare packages for clients
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information as required
• Other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:

• Completion of post-secondary education in Accounting preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or tax preparation
• Experience working with tax software a strong asset
• Exceptional attention to detail and level of confidentiality
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and within a team environment
• Strong understanding of accounting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (particularly Excel)

 
Compensation: Dependent upon experience level
 
Hours: Monday to Friday, daytime hours
