POSITION Maintenance Buyer
BUSINESS UNIT Maintenance, Ice Cream Factory

REPORTS TO Engineering and Maintenance Manager
The incumbent will provide a leadership role in the sourcing of all parts and services and manage the stores inventory for the London Ice cream Factory.
Major Responsibilities
- Purchasing of parts and services for the maintenance department.
- Sourcing of best suppliers. Maximize Nestle preferred agreements.
- Maintain database of suppliers and parts. Working with procurement to set up new vendors and make necessary vendor changes.
- Work closely with Maintenance Group Leaders and Maintenance Stores Attendant to ensure adequate supply of parts.
- Responsible for the store management KPI’s (cycle counting completion, inventory record accuracy, non-used materials and obsolete stock).
- Participate in factory TPM journey. Specifically, support the PM Pillar as ABC and ABCZ system owner.
- Generate reports and track maintenance spending.
- Continually review existing processes and procedures in order to implement improvements in accordance with Nestle standards.
- Work with millwrights, electricians, operating engineers, production employees and other functions to ensure business continuity.
- Control stores inventory value.
- Support maintenance department on parts issues especially relating to break downs.
- Provide service-level to maintenance team for parts.
- Assist AP to process invoices.
- Ensure compliance with Nestle polices and standards.
- Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements.
- Supervise Stockroom Attendant.
Qualifications
- Technical studies, diploma or certification preferred. Technical purchasing experience (SCMP or CPP designation is an asset).
- TPM or 6 sigma knowledge is an asset.
- 3 years of experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
- Advanced understanding of SAP technical stores management (AMM stores optimization tool).
- Excellent negotiation skills, solid financial acumen and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage in a complex and fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork oriented.
- Quick study, proven ability to manage and anticipate change and strong decision making abilities.
- Demonstrates SAP (AMM module) and MS Office proficiency.
