iLOOKABOUT is a data analytics and visual intelligence company focused on real property, serving primarily the property assessment, property taxation, municipal, insurance, and appraisal sectors, both public and private, in North America. iLOOKABOUT's origins are with its StreetScape imagery and web-based geographic information system ("GIS") application, GeoViewPort™, which federates property related data and enables desktop review of properties. iLOOKABOUT has recently integrated powerful new data analytics and workflow management applications into its existing products to create several new service offerings uniquely customized for its clients. These new offerings include Real Property Tax Analytics ("RPTA"), Realty Tax Management ("RTM") and Confirm My Assessment. To augment the Company's technology based offerings, real estate consulting services are also now provided, with a focus on the Property Tax and Valuation sectors.

We are currently seeking a full time Accountant with a desire to take on new challenges and contribute to the growth of our organization.
Reporting to the Manager – Corporate Accounting, the Accountant will be primarily responsible for accurately maintaining records of the day to day financial transactions of the company including, but not limited to, invoicing, receipts and disbursements, payroll processing. The Accountant will assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for both management and external auditors, as required.
The position requires a CGA designation, or equivalent, coupled with excellent time, people and project management skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant financial experience in industry.
Strong electronic business application skills are a necessity, including advanced level Excel skills.
The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post customer invoices, deposits and weekly cheque runs
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including but not limited to, bank reconciliations
- Analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements according to monthly close schedule
- Facilitate and complete monthly, quarterly and annual close procedures
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll to ensure all employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare statutory payroll deduction (CPP, EI, Tax) repoting/remittances and other payroll remittances (EHT) as required
- Prepare T4 and T5 reporting as required
- Prepare HST reporting/remittances as required
- Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit of the financial statements
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Assist with reporting requirements for funding opportunities
- Other projects as assigned
- CGA or equivalent accounting designation
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- 3+ years accounting/finance experience in industry
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications with exceptional Excel knowledge
- Proficiency with ACCPAC or other similar accounting software
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
