Are you an experienced recruiter with a passion for matching the perfect candidate to the ideal job? Can you develop and recommend innovative solutions to source a diverse pool of candidates? Do you have a desire to continuously improve your practice and help others improve theirs? The Talent Acquisition Consultant will provide direct support to leaders in full-cycle recruitment and also provide assistance and guidance to leaders as they execute their recruitment plans.
This role requires an individual that is results-oriented with a proven track record of executing staff recruitment strategies that deliver results. If you would like to be on a team of great people delivering great service, we may have just the opportunity for you at Western University. This role will appeal to a high energy, client focused professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a talent acquisition and/or recruiter function within a unionized environment. Your exceptional relationship building skills, your keen judgment of talent, and your strong technical acumen, will ensure the talent acquisition needs of the organization are met. In addition, you will have:
Education:
- An undergraduate degree is required; must be working towards or have obtained your CHRP designation
Skills & Expertise:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to Human Resources
- Outstanding relationship and interpersonal skills, with proven influencing skills at all levels of the organization
- Strong record of teamwork with the motivation and ability to work independently with little supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization
- Well-developed presentation and public speaking skills
- Highly responsive with an ability to operate efficiently and effectively in fast paced, complex academic environment
- Energetic self-starter with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
- Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner, whether internal or external to Western
- Judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities
- Superior proficiency in the use of behavioural based interviewing and applicant testing
- Proficiency using MS Office, recruitment databases, HR metrics and applicant assessment methods
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
