R&D Software Engineer

Our Major Defense client in London Ontario is looking for a R&D Software Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Job Elements

• Develop software to integrate with hardware/devices to advance data-fusion capability
• Create new solutions for military applications of deep-learning with all manner of sensors & systems
• Develop concepts such as manned and un-manned teaming
• Create structured, well-documented, object-oriented, modern code
• Strong desire to work within a robust test environment
• Project build from concept through requirements and design before code is written
• Code implementation through pragmatic application of loose and strict requirements
• High level of expertise and/or interest in code repositories, versioning, & coding standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar.  Candidates with exceptional relevant experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional software development
• C++/C#; WPF/XAML; Other languages promoting versatility
• AI; Deep learning; Data science
• Architecture, design, implementation, and deployment of software and systems
• Full SDLC experience
• Strong experience in Windows
• Good experience in Linux
• Relational databases
• Git and Bitbucket
