We're seeking a mechanically inclined Maintenance Member

Arvin Sango Canada Inc. (ASCI) is an automotive component manufacturer, specializing in vehicle exhaust systems and welded structural components. We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and mechanically inclined Maintenance Team Member in our London, Ontario facility. If you are interested in a mix of general and technical maintenance duties and would like to become part of the ASCI team, this position could be for you!

SUMMARY
The Maintenance team is an all-star group that looks after a number of needs within our facility. Maintenance Team Members are a resource to production; correcting and preventing machine failures, troubleshooting and periodically, installing or moving equipment. The Maintenance team solves technical problems, programs and repairs automated machinery and robotics. This makes the position dynamic, there’s never a dull moment!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conceptualize, form and fabricate parts for projects and/or repairs to equipment.
  • Analyze, optimize and troubleshoot automated machines and systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
  • Creative thinking, you'll need the ability to come up with new ideas and implement them on machinery and in programmable logic.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on grounds, equipment and systems.
  • Undertake special projects and activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • You need to be highly self-motivated to be successful in this position. This role is very disciplined and requires you to have strong work ethic.
  • You'll also need proven time-management abilities. Our operating environment is dynamic and priorities change quickly.
  • You have a mechanical aptitude and good working knowledge and experience with hand powered tools.
  • Your experiences with welding, metal working, and general facility maintenance are all valued.
  • If you have a Millwright licence, you'll be given heightened consideration, although this is not a rigid requirement.
