Description:
This role is to provide help desk technician support to a remote office. The proper candidate will be able to work autonomously to a large extent, escalating issues to a remote manager as needed. Ability to work effectively with minimal instruction, independently research possible solutions, and go beyond the bare minimum is required. Understand the value and challenges of working in a growing company’s environment.

Responsibilities:
Provide help desk support to the London, Ontario office
Utilizes superior customer services skills to bring trouble tickets to closure.
Uses troubleshooting skills to fix desktop and application issues
Fulfill trouble ticket requests and impromptu end-user request
Keep daily logs of tickets fulfilled and work completed
Maintain hardware supply inventories as needed.
Maintains printers and fax machines as needed.
Review and update help desk documentation.
Assist with server and network related tasks as directed by Network Infrastructure Manager.
Report any perceived trends among end users
Responsible for maintaining anti-virus
Promptly escalates any un-resolvable issues to Network Infrastructure Manager.
 
Skill required:
Two to three years of experience in a tech support role
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience managing activity through a ticketing system or by work orders
Experience in desktop, laptop and mobile device support
Must have prior experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications
Experience supporting printer, copier/fax/scanner
OS support (Windows 7)
Basic networking, cabling, and WiFi
Experience with network equipment (firewalls/routers/switches) and an understanding of networking fundamentals is preferred
Experience with VOIP telecom systems such as Avaya is a nice to have
