Summary of Duties

Under the direction of the Manager II, Environmental Services or designate, sorts, loads, unloads and operates all machinery related to the washing and drying procedures.

Work Performed

Sorts clothing and linens according to category.

Loads, unloads, sorts where necessary and operates the equipment related to the washing and drying procedures.

Responsible for the care, cleanliness of both the equipment and the laundry room.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

Grade 12 or equivalent education.

Ability to speak, write and understand English.

Basic knowledge of laundry procedures.

Ability to comprehend the operation and care of laundry equipment.

Must be in good physical health and capable of continuous heavy lifting.

Compensation and Other Information

Start - $23.37 per hour

1040 hrs/6 month rate - $23.64 per hour

2080 hrs/12 month rate - $24.54 per hour
