PwC Service Delivery Center (SDC):
This is an exciting time! As a key priority of our practice, in early 2016, PwC Canada opened the establishment of a Service Delivery Centre (SDC) in London, Ontario. The SDC provides immigration support, tax return preparation, and other compliance services in support of our Canadian practice. We will use technology, standardized processes, and best practices to deliver high quality services to our clients. The SDC is a key driver of the growth within PwC and the establishment of this facility will create many important positions. Joining this growing part of our business will provide an opportunity to play an important role in how PwC practice delivers client service.
The Opportunity: Data Specialist
Based out of London, as a Data Specialist your primary role will be to support the tax and/or Immigration compliance process by assembling the documents required to prepare forms and documents for submission to the government, assembling the documents to prepare personal and corporate tax returns and managing administrative functions throughout the year. Due to the cyclical nature of the work, this will mean supporting a fast paced and dynamic work environment. As the SDC services all Canadian time zones, we are looking for individuals who are open and available for work between the hours of 8:00am EST and 8:00pm EST. (Specific shifts may vary, weekend work may be necessary during peak seasons).

Responsibilities:
In the role of a Data Specialist you will:
- Assemble client provided information which may include data entry, scanning hardcopy documents, and organizing softcopy documents electronically
- Send electronic copies of finalized submissions to clients
- Initiate and create client records in database or online tools, and provide client user access
- Manage receipt and verification of consent forms, client documents; and follow up with clients as needed
- Electronic filing of documents with government agencies (such as: Canada Revenue, Agency, US Internal Revenue, US Department of Labor, etc)
- Track and report on client information using online tools, and manage lists of clients requiring services
- Draft documents and emails to support applications for government programs and benefits
- Monitor expiry dates for government benefits and draft applications for renewal
- Schedule appointments for clients
- Support other SDC team members with administrative functions such as generating reports, scanning of additional documents, mailing and couriering documents to clients and required authorities
- Monitor e-mails and address in a timely fashion
Requirements:
- Detail is your middle name; you are well organized and have the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- You are comfortable working with many sources of technology including the internet, MS office (excel), database management systems, and are a quick learner when introduced to the latest and greatest
- You are a skilled communicator with proven ability to successfully interact with clients or coworkers via email (written) and over the phone (verbal).
- Being a team player really means something to you; you are a positive force in your work environment and build solid relationships with team members
- You are adaptable and love to learn new things (tasks, technology…)
- Your interests are vast; that includes a general interest in business, ideally with immigration and/or working with numbers
- If we lay out a documented process or guideline, you are happy to follow it to the letter, delivering high-quality results
- Routine doesn’t bore you; whether you are working as part of a team or independently, you are happy to get the job done
- That big multipurpose scanner, fax, copier in the back of the office has never intimidated you; you know how to use it or always seem to figure it out pretty quickly
- You’ve got a “Can-Do” attitude no matter what the task or how fast the pace
- You are comfortable working paperless, compiling documents or doing any task online (PDF)
- Previous experience working with INSZoom, TIger and/or Tax Prep is considered an asset
