Job Description
TEMPORARY ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE INSTRUCTORS
The School of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education at the G.A. Wheable Centre requires Temporary English as a Second Language Instructors to replace permanent employees on short and/or long term leaves of absence and summer programming. They must be prepared to deliver the program provided for single day absences and prepare lessons for longer terms.
Qualifications: TESL ONTARIO ACCREDITATION IS REQUIRED.
If you have a minimum of an undergraduate degree, including formal training in Adult ESL instruction and an awareness and sensitivity to cultural and sociological issues please consider this position. Experience with the delivery of educational programming, ideally with adult learners, is an asset. .
Location: ESL classes are offered in a variety of locations at various times throughout the Thames Valley District School Board.
Rate of pay: $27.84 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
Duties to Commence: As soon as possible
The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.
