Mechanical Designer
Engineering Consulting – Commercial and Industrial Buildings

Our client in London is growing and looking to add a Mechanical Designer to their team of Professional Consultants; privately owned, providing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Building Services design in SW Ontario Region for over 40 years. Our client prides themselves on using the latest technology in designs, in addition to attracting and employing highly motivated, well-qualified, energetic and creative personnel.
 

Salary to be negotiated based on experience
Full-Time; 37.5 hours per week in London


Electrical Engineer Requirements:

  • College or University Degree is an asset
  • 3-5 Years of Mechanical Design related to Building Systems
  • Design of Plumbing Systems in Commercial Buildings
  • Experience with both AutoCAD for drafting and designing
  • Ability to work on complex institutional, industrial and commercial engineering projects
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code

 

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Designer, your Primary responsibilities will include all aspects of design and analyses including system selection, life cycle cost calculations, and implementation of building systems.

  • Create Mechanical drafts and design using AutoCAD and experience with Revit would be an asset
  • Design and prepare mechanical reports, contract documents, drawings and specifications for all aspects of mechanical systems for institutional, commercial and residential facilities.
  • Design and calculate aspects of specialty mechanical systems
  • Supervise junior engineers and CAD Operators
  • Coordinate with electrical design with electrical drawings and services
