Job Description

Our client, located in Huron County, ON, has an immediate contract role available for a Helpdesk Technician. The successful candidate will have prior experience in an IT support role and possess a strong attention to detail. This position has potential for permanent employment. Apply with us now!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT related hardware (PC’s, peripherals, telephones, etc.) and software.
- Responsible for tier 2 user technical support and escalation as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Level 1 or 2 IT support role, supporting Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010.
- Windows 8 and Surface Pro Tablet support preferred.
- Experience with Active Directory object administration, DNS, DHCP, Network printers, file share security and software deployment.
- Microsoft or other IT related certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with network cabling and troubleshooting.
- Outstanding written and oral communication.
- Proficiency in English is required and proficiency in French is an asset.
- Customer service oriented with strong attention to detail
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
