Do you have a passion for good cooking, and a desire to pass on your skills? Our kitchen offers a wholesome environment where you can develop both yourself and others. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Kitchen Staff will be responsible for producing high-quality food and promoting culinary expertise. Our kitchen primarily uses from scratch recipes, giving us an opportunity to utilize and hone our skills on a daily basis. We offer a rewarding work environment that is held to the highest food quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing high-quality food under the direction of the Executive Chef
- Delivery of custom food items (e.g.: platters for catering events)
- Adhering to our high culinary, safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of work
- Operating cooking tools and machinery safely, as required
- Following to our production schedule in to meet business demands
- Applying garnishments, decorations, and fresh flourishes
- Training and coaching co-workers to pass along skills and experience
Abilities and Requirements:
- Knowledge and respect for hygiene and safety standards
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience in a restaurant environment
- Catering experience strongly preferred
- Credentials (e.g.: Red Seal) an asset but not required
- Expert-level knowledge of cooking recipes, methodology and best practices
- Creativity and innovation in developing original recipes
- Strong organizational skills; able to make decisions independently
- Motivated and capable of working productively both alone and on a team
- Strong aptitude for mentoring, training, and sharing knowledge with others
- Desire to learn and grow, especially with regards to marketing
- Frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, cutting/slicing, reaching forwards and overhead, sitting, gripping, carrying, pushing and pulling
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 45 lbs.
