We have locations both in Canada and the USA.

We currently have the following position available in Tillsonburg at our Corporate Office: HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR

Prerequisites:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources/ Health and Safety  field
  • Grade 12 Education or Equivalent
  • College or University education in the field of Human Resources/ Health and Safety  preferred
  • Must be willing to travel to all locations
  • No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
  • Successful completion of aptitude test
  • Pass company medical
  • Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills
Responsibility:
  • Must maintain absolute confidentiality and remain impartial
  • Assist locations in JHSC development, and setting up schedules for inspections and meetings
  • Attend JHSC meetings, and advising committee on recommendations
  • Work with all locations to maintain the WHMIS/SDS system
  • Conduct safety audits of locations to ensure Health and Safety requirements are being met
  • Ensure facilities have adequate number of First Aid certified employees per shift
  • Track and graph all safety accidents and incidents for all locations, providing monthly and annual report to management
  • Maintain and update the Contractor Packages and Clearance Certificates
  • Develop, monitor Safety Talks for all locations
  • Assist with the development of safety manuals, bulletins, brochures, forms and presentations
  • Assist in coordinating air sampling, noise sampling, etc. as required
  • Maintain and update Safety and HR content on the Intranet
  • Promote positive employee relations; conduct on site visits with employees on all shifts
  • Maintain and update records in Coach for Canadian employees
  • Maintain and update the HR metrics for both the Canadian and USA operations
  • Overseeing the administration of employee performance appraisal system including issuing and tracking employee reviews
  • Track employee’s education to show who does not have a Grade 12/ GED. Continuously encourage those who do not, to obtain their Grade 12/ GED. Follow up with employees on their progress at least annually
  • Administer employee programs: social functions, service awards, Christmas lunches etc.
  • Send out monthly newsletters from EAP provider, and coordinate sessions with provider as required
  • Conduct spot audits of the temporary staffing agencies to ensure orientations/ training is being completed according to legislative and TFT requirements
  • Assist with recruitment by preparing interview/new hire documentation, arranging medicals, conducting reference and verification checks
  • Assist with the job posting process by sending memo’s and accept/decline letters when process is complete and tracking the posting in the HR Metrics
  • Assist with the benefits program as required
  • Assist in policy  implementation, communication and training
  • Filing for Canadian and USA operations
  • All other tasks as assigned
