Quality Manager

Our client is a world-class leader in the field of processing liquid silicone, currently expanding their state of the art facility to keep up with the company’s growth in production and looking to hire for this position due to someone retiring from the facility in the coming months.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the implementation of Quality Control Systems as per the company’s quality standards in addition to managing the Quality departments for Automotive and Medical side of the business.  The successful candidate would have minimum of 5+ Years’ experience in Quality supporting the management team in a manufacturing environment.

The primary objective for this role is to be responsible for the implementation of quality control systems, certification to quality standards, customer relations, working with production and process teams to maintain high level of quality; training of employees to ensure compliance of quality and customer specifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Engineering / University Degree in Engineering
  • CQE - Certified Quality Engineer through American Society for Quality
  • 5-10 Years’ Experience as a CQE or Manager in manufacturing implementing quality systems
  • Experience with TS 16949/QS9000 Quality requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is an asset
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles
  • Experience with quality systems such as Quipsy
  • Automotive or Medical Manufacturing experience supporting ISO / TS certifications
  • Internal or External Audit preparation experience is required
  • Active participation in the APQP process, experience with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, CCR
  • Experience with Quality requirements and the required documentation
  • Experience working with customers resolving quality issues
