Job Summary:
As a member of the engineering team the Simulation Engineer is responsible to ensure that all processes are capable and meet customer requirements in a simulated environment.  The Simulation  Engineer is responsible to model a range of different scenarios and variables in quick secession to put the technical solution though it passes and ensure capability.  

Job Responsibility:
 
  • Design and development of automation tooling and equipment.
  • Provide technical advice and support to engineering related to the mechanical aspects of the design.
  • Develop specifications and drawings and perform design modifications for manufacturing and product quality improvement.
  • Check finished work and ensure that working documentation is at the appropriate revision level.
    Create simulated models and ensure capability of design.
  • Strong organizational abilities, good interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills are all required, as are independent thinking and initiative in determining work methods.
  • Design semi & fully automated equipment’s  layouts using Delmia with capability to meet customer demand and  quality specification.
  • Liaise with customers and engineering  staff
  • Follow designs through manufacturing process to confirm any changes required are properly documented and simulated.
  • Identify, co-ordinate, and complete testing and calculations required to validate engineering designs.
  • Mentor other mechanical designers in proper mechanical design techniques and advise on suitability
  • Actively research and advice of new design technology, manufacturing processes, products, and tools that will advance GTAC  capability and competitiveness.
  • Other duties and projects as required by your Manager.
Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or College Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Drafting.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Good documentation and communication skills as well as the ability to work very well in a team environment
  • A hands-on approach to problem solving / analytical skills
  • Must be self-motivated and effective at troubleshooting and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical theory,use of software to perform complex  calculations to support engineering designs
  • Proficient with Delmia
