Junior Graphic Designer and Developer

Resonant Solutions – London, ON Resonant Solutions is looking for a junior web designer and developer with expertise in custom websites and user interface design. We are seeking an interactive media specialist who is in touch with today’s latest web trends and proficient with multi-media graphic design and production.
The right fit for our team will be experienced in working on design and development of fully customizable, responsive websites for municipalities, business, and not-for-profits. Expertise must include sites that combine unique front-end design with the highest level of back-end programming finesse to produce beautiful, seamless functionality.  In addition to technical skills, this individual will also be self-motivated, display a high sense of responsibility and a passion for customer service, and have demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of raising the brand profile of clients through software development and graphic design. This individual: 

• Successfully utilizes colour schemes and web layouts to upgrade the visual impact of websites and mobile applications
• Possesses an eye-for-detail, ensuring designs are aesthetically stunning and easy to navigate
• Maintains awareness of the vast diversity of web visitors and applies this understanding to design and development
• Bridges the creative gap between a traditional site and a design that reflects the personality of the client

Responsibilities:

• Website testing and maintenance
• Website functionality design and testing
• Working with content management system (CMS) software
• Online branding for education, business and media sectors
• Design and/or redesign of responsive websites and mobile optimized layouts
• Content migration
• Researching best practices in design
• Graphic design of print media including promotional materials and proposals
• Digital photography and image editing
• Logo design
• Internal presentations and client service interaction

Qualifications/Skills:

• 2+ years of digital agency experience
• Experience and strong knowledge of current web technologies
• HTML, HTML5, XML, CSS, CSS3
• C#, PHP, Javascript, JQuery
• Twitter Bootstrap, Foundation Responsive Web Frameworks
• Familiarity with relational Databases Microsoft SQL,MySQL
• Familiarity with web and accessibility standards
• Familiarity with Web hosting platforms, website migration, Radiant CMS, ASP.Net
• Experience and strong knowledge of web design tools including Balsamiq Mockups
• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
• Experience with Source Control Solutions, GIT, SVN, Github, etc
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Strong knowledge of web UI design and UX principles
• Exceptional design and illustration skills
• Exceptional creativity and imagination
• Strong proactive problem solving skills
• Thorough understanding of client revision process and ability to work through revisions diligently
• Outstanding work ethic, excellent time management skills and the ability and willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs and project deadlines
• Proven ability to work independently
• Proven ability to uphold confidentiality
• An exceptional portfolio of digital work
• Experience in creating wireframes to communicate user interaction considered an asset

We are expanding to include international clients. Experience and/or familiarity with reading and writing in Chinese, and undertaking business with Chinese clients is considered a major asset.
