Job Description
Job Purpose
Provides technical knowledge and expertise in support of WTG’s programs through equipment repair, maintenance and support.
Provides technical knowledge and expertise in support of WTG’s programs through equipment repair, maintenance and support.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Under minimal supervision, provides technical knowledge and guidance to Engineering, Maintenance, and Production team members
- Provides installation, diagnostics, repair and reliability of industrial control equipment (i.e. instrumentation, industrial communications, HMI, PLC, PC interface, robotics, servo controls).
- Actively participates in safety, quality, and environmental programs determined by management.
Qualifications / Experience / Education
- Completion of an instrumentation/electrical technologist diploma or related field of study
- 5 years’ instrumentation/electrical repair and maintenance in an industrial setting
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Omron HMI/PLC control systems.
- Ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting.
- Prior experience using Allen Bradley Control Logix 5000
- Prior experience configuring DeviceNet networks
- Motoman Yaskawa robotics controls programming experience
- AutoCAD or similar design experience
