The School of Applied Science and Technology at Fanshawe College is seeking qualified instructors to provide theoretical and practical instruction courses in Robotics and Controls.

The School of Applied Science and Technology at Fanshawe College is seeking qualified instructors to provide theoretical and practical instruction courses in Robotics and Controls.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
The successful candidate must be competent to instruct the following:
- Performance of basic robotic operations on FANUC robots in accordance with safety procedures and practices
- Operation of a teach pendant to perform JOINT/WORLD/Tool jog methods
- Analysis of robot effectiveness and performance characteristics
- Testing, modification and execution a robot TP protocol
- Integration of PLC, HMI and other equipment with Ethernet/IP communication protocols
- Interpretation of technical manuals and schematics for control system repair and test
- Building, testing and troubleshooting sensors and control devices with PLC control systems
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years recent, relevant experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
