Job Description

Buyer
 
StarTech.com is currently looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Assurance team at our Corporate Office in London, Ontario.
 
Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain, the Buyer will be responsible for maintaining product availability levels, Purchase Order management and validation, and strengthening vendor relationships in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
 
 
If You Enjoy
 
  • Building relationships with a group of vendors
  • Preparing and submitting PO’s based on forecasts, sales and requests
  • Managing product availability by monitoring stock levels and transfers, initiating expedites, and recommending adjustments to inventory control policies
 
And Have Evidence of
 
  • Purchasing experience
  • An ability to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (ACCPAC or other ERP exposure an asset)
  • Post-secondary education in Purchasing or Business ( SCMP, APICS or PMAC an asset)
