Quality Measuring Technician
Job Specifications:
- Complete destructive testing using a Universal test machine
- Complete Cut, Polish, and Etch of welded samples
- Complete dimensional reports using a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Complete dimensional reports using an Optical comparator
- Complete receiving inspection plans on incoming parts (using different measurement tools)
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Previous experience in Welding inspection processes
- Previous experience in Quality/Receiving inspection processes
- Complete measurement reports using hardness Tester (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers)
- Monitor and update calibrations for all measurement devices within the facility
- Other duties as required
Job Qualifications:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Quality Assurance or relevant work experience (3 years) in a quality role
- Laboratory experience is considered an asset
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills, enthusiastic and self-motivated, accurate, organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to make decisions and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work on a rotating continental shift
