Job Description

Pathways Skill Development and Placement Centre assists individuals to overcome multiple challenges to meaningful employment by providing employability assessments, job search strategies, training and employment placement services. 

Pathways is presently seeking  a Social Media and Web Developer for a Job Creation Partnership Project.  This position is open only to individuals who meet the EI eligibility criteria. Applicants must be currently unemployed or underemployed and either in receipt of regular EI benefits, having received regular EI benefits in the past 3 years, or having received maternity or parental EI benefits in the past 5 years.

JOB Description: The Social Media and Web Developer will develop and implement a social media plan for the Clean Works and Build Works.  The Social Media and Web Developer will build a website for Build Works, track leads and track operational metrics, contacts, leads, and other key sources of information for a growing social enterprise. 
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Research and analyze current social media initiatives within organization
  • Develop and implement social media marketing strategy
  • Develop Build Works website integrating graphic content and written scripts
  • Develop integrated platform for cross organizational social media communication
  • Analyze effectiveness of current websites
  • Refresh web presence across the organizations
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge of social media and web based communications
  • Knowledge of web design software and platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated logical thinking and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others
  • Diploma or certificate in marketing, digital marketing or web development
