ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently looking for an experienced Yard Support person to join our team in our St. Thomas operation. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Customer service functions - overseeing the propane dispenser.
- Inspecting and filling propane cylinders and recertification.
- Facility maintenance, including yard sweeping and snow removal.
- Rinsing returned fuel tanks and removing pumps and fittings.
- Stocking shelves.
- Running errands.
- Unloading and putting away tanks.
- Retrieving tanks and other materials and delivery to the service area for prep.
- Assisting the service department, truck shop and/or Lubricant Distribution Centre as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid, clean and current driver’s license.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Reliable, hardworking and dedicated.
- A professional manner and possess a positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
- A safety conscious attitude; willingness to participate in all required training programs such as the handling of hazardous products, including propane handling.
- Experience with lift trucks, tractors and other equipment would be preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks when necessary.
- A DZ license would be considered a benefit, but is not required.
