Talentcor London is currently recruiting DOWN STREAM TECHNICIAN GENERAL LABOUR employees for our plastic extrusion manufacturing client in Thorndale, ON. These are PERMANENT POSITIONS with a competitive rate of pay and excellent benefits.

Job Duties:

• Perform visual quality control inspections of products as they come off the line
• Package and label finished goods as specified
• Track and record the number of units produced on the production line
• Assist Line Operators with start-ups, shutdowns, equipment set-up and tool changes
• Always follow safe work procedures at all times
• Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and move heavy items, including the ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. up to six feet
• Must be able to move through a full range of motion including reaching, bending, squatting and twisting
• Must be able to move, stand and handle materials for full 12 hour shifts
• Must have a high level of manual dexterity
• Forklift experience an asset
• Must be able to work continental shifts including every other weekend as described below
• Team work and quality oriented
• Effective communication and listening skills

Salary and Shift:

• $14.25 per hour with an increase to $15.00 after six months
• CONTINENTAL SHIFT ROTATION including every other weekend
• 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, 8:00 pm to 8:00 am
