Job Description

This key member of the Human Resources team is accountable for delivering a full range of essential HR strategy, administrative and support services to employees and management. Serves as a direct front line resource for management, operations and staff and assists with the development and implementation of new programs and services.

Responsibilities Include:

• Promote and communicate HR programs to staff and managers in support of business requirements, to encourage employee engagement, attain organizational goals and enable culture and core values. 
• Provide guidance and support to managers on recruitment processes, coaching and performance management, health and wellness, and other employee relations matters. Complete day to day HR operations and activities, including disability management, benefits and administrative activities, ensuring best practices are applied, liaising with staff as required.
• Participate in research, development, implementation and evaluation of workplace programs and new projects.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Diploma or post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management. CHRP preferred.
• 6-8 years’ HR generalist background, with experience and demonstrated applications of HR best practices in the following areas: performance management, recruitment, disability, labour relations, learning and development programs, benefits administration, policy development and wellness and safety, preferably in both non-union and union environments. 
• Highly professional team player, with demonstrated track record in taking initiative, leading change efforts and managing and implementing HR processes and solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to relate well to people from all levels of an organization to form strong partnerships with managers and promote strong employee engagement. Critical thinking, coaching and conflict resolution skills; able to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Detail oriented and well-organized, administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, talent management software and internet recruiting.
• Able to travel to various work locations.
