Job Description
We are seeking a highly a motivated individual with experience in a business environment and a personal passion for social media marketing. This is a full-time salaried position in our downtown London, Ontario offices. The successful candidate will contribute recurrent content to support our clients’ objectives, provide social media reports and help develop, maintain client relationships and manage all online paid advertising campaigns.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in public relations, advertising, marketing, communications or related
- Excels at research and possesses excellent writing skills
- 2 years experience in advertising, PR, online marketing, social media marketing or similar field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Facebook advertising and social media insights
- Ability to suggest and create unique and engaging content for multiple social media channels
- Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media
- Experience with setting up and monitoring Google Adwords and Facebook Adverting campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics
- Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side
- Discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user generated content
- Knowledge of search engine optimization techniques, including basic keyword research
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
- Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
- Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create daily content for various social media channels
- Daily monitoring of all Google Adwords campaigns to ensure optimal performance
- Develop social media strategies to drive relevant online traffic and optimize conversion rates
- Interact with our customers to align their needs with corporate objectives
- Be the eyes and ears of each client’s brand as if your own reputation depended on it
- Build and maintain client networks by way of social media channels
- Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content, report to appropriate parties
- Conduct keyword research including cataloging and indexing target keyword phrases
- Create and update reports on a monthly and annual basis
- Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising client social media campaigns
- Initiate and support social media sales efforts including proposing new opportunities and following-up to generate new clients
- Actively participate in client meetings regarding social media for business
