Opportunity

Coldstream Concrete is looking for a Project Manager & Estimator to join our Sales Team.  This position is highly suited for an individual who is passionate about our industry and has experience building lasting partnerships within their field.  The Project Manager & Estimator will provide estimates for precast products and manage each stage of the project to ensure successful delivery and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Estimating
  • Prepare accurate estimates for precast related products
  • Oversee and manage the execution of precast projects once awarded until the project has been completed, including:
    - Establish construction schedule and oversee the schedule for each project
    - Communicate key deliverables to interested parties, both internally and externally, to ensure project schedule is realized
    - Consult with 3rd party consultants (i.e. engineers) and municipalities to support the project process, pricing, and, to address  potential concerns
    - Manage risk by diligent management of project and communication of potential issues
  • Manage financial risk through careful analysis and compliance with project budget(s), prices and timelines
Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain regular communication with customers through all stages of the project, including initial inquiries, pricing, and estimates
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to the customer experience, including direct or passive feedback, and/or industry trends. Ensure that customers have an avenue for providing feedback throughout all stages of the project
  • Develop status reports to be presented to sales and/or operations team(s) and escalate issues of projects in-process
  • Participate in industry events and association meetings
Operations and Project Administration
  • Responsible for project requirements by reading/interpreting drawings and project specifications, and, identifying products Coldstream Concrete can produce that align with customer needs
  • Responsible for determining an estimated price
  • Create new drawings using AutoCAD
  • Ensure project documentation is collected and reported, as required, from project inception to completion
Experience and Qualifications

Education
  • Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management Technology (3-year program) or higher
Computer, Software and Technology Skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems, especially related to manufacturing and logistics and/or CRM systems
  • Strong AutoCAD experience
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications and the ability to use presentation software considered an asset
Knowledge & Experience
  • Ability to understand, research, and communicate provincial and municipal standards as needed
  • Knowledge of construction site work and materials used plus installation requirements
  • 2-3 years of related experience in construction and Project Management
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Effective relationship building with colleagues and customers
  • Exceptional time management skills
