Job Description

We currently are recruiting for an Office Administrator to be located at the Salford, Ontario Corporate Office south of Ingersoll on Highway 19. This position will report to the Office Manager. 
 
Salford was founded in 1978 by Jake Rozendaal, then a recent immigrant from Holland who had a degree in agriculture, with experience on his father’s farm and training as a mechanic and a welder.  He seemed to be able to listen and quickly understand what farmers were trying to accomplish in the field. He would then design and create the machinery needed to accomplish the task.
 
Today, even though Salford is still based in the same location, the company has expanded from its humble roots. Salford has become a global company that markets machinery worldwide.  In order to support their expanding distribution network of nearly 300 North American Salford dealers,  and keep up with growing demand for their product, Salford has invested in manufacturing facilities in Iowa, Georgia, Manitoba and Russia with multiple parts distribution centers in Canada, the United States and Russia.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Process account payables
  • Invoice parts shipments
  • Process Sales Bonus/Warranty Registration program  
  • Process co-operative dealer advertising claims
  • Answer incoming calls and forward to appropriate departments
  • Document filing
  • General duties as required
 
Qualifications
  • Business Administration Accounting diploma preferred
  • 3 + years Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience preferably in a multi-location manufacturing environment
  • Excellent computer skills including computerized accounting, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with office procedures and office equipment required
  • Strong organization, both written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Capable of determining priorities and deadlines, as well as flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Enjoys a fast paced environment and maintain detail and accuracy at all times
  • An agricultural background would be an asset
  • Willing to work standard 42 hours per week and extra hours as required
