Job Description
The Surgmed Group (www.surgmed.com) is a fast-growing medical device manufacturing and distribution organization with a wide range of products covering several specialty areas and a global presence. Group companies include Advanced Surgi-Pharm Inc., Batrik Medical Manufacturing Inc. and Imperial Surgical Ltd. To help support our rapid growth, we are currently recruiting a Sales Representative to cover part of GTA and South Western Ontario. This is an entry level position well suited for an individual with some field sales experience and a passion for developing a sales career in a dynamic, competitive marketplace.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for:
- Actively prospecting, qualifying and following up leads to acquire business from new and existing accounts in the assigned territory involving extensive travel (80% of total time)
- Meeting quarterly and annual targets for each product group
- Monitoring competitive activity
- Representing the company effectively at trade shows
- Account and territory development
- Maintaining and growing strong relationships with customers
- Providing feedback on product related opportunities and issues
- Monthly reporting
Qualifications & Experience
- 2-3 years experience as a Business-to-Business Field Sales Representative with a good track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Excellent territory knowledge of South Western Ontario; candidates must be currently residing in the territory
- Ability to travel extensively within the territory
- Ability to rapidly pick up and apply product and application knowledge
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Well organized, thorough and self-motivated
- Experience in using CRM tools (e.g. ACT, Saleslogix or Salesforce.com)
- Strong initiative, drive and persistence
- Superior closing skills
