Job Description
Manufacturing assistant reporting to the Plant Manager.
Qualified candidate will be responsible to act as a liaison from management to shop floor production.
Co-ordinate activities of three main production departments, welding, machining, painting.
Able to apply knowledge of production methods, equipment, and capability of workers to schedule and maintain daily production in an ISO environment.
Review production scheduling an advise purchasing of applicable materials and supplies for daily production.
Assist in the process, or prepare customer quotations for new parts and current part revisions.
Program CNC lathes, machining centres using Mastercam. Use ACAD to aid in production and jig/fixture design.
Use of computer programs including Microsoft office suite (excel, word, power point), Mastercam, Autocad and our
E2software (shop management system)
Partake in quality inspections and use of dimensional measuring equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Read and interpret blueprints in detail. (welding, machining). GD&T a definite asset
Participate in ISO disciplines and continuous improvements etc using time studies to analyze work centre efficiency.
Qualifications include excellent organizational skills, be a motivated self starter and able to work alone or in groups, employing good oral and written communication skills
An outstanding attitude, and ability to blend with company culture.
