Keystone Technologies is currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician in London, Ontario.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician will play a key role in maintaining the computing environment by providing onsite hardware and software system support; identifying system improvements; installing and configuring systems; and monitoring system performance

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure and design
  • 3+ years of professional and courteous customer support
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft and network-vendor licensing and software acquisition
  • 3+ experience with Windows Server (NT-200x) and related Enterprise applications (SQL, Exchange, anti-spam, anti-virus, etc)
  • 3+ Advanced knowledge of Windows XP/Vista/7 desktop architecture
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with network security devices and protocols configuration and support (firewalls, managed switches, routers, VPN, VLAN, Virtual Servers, etc)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with fundamental network protocols (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, LAN and WAN design, etc)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with server peripheral hardware (UPS, backup drives, KVM/vKVM, etc) Minimum 1-2 years’ experience preferred
  • Able to prioritize and work with deadlines.
  • Available to work flexible hours, occasionally outside regular business hours (must be available for on-call IT support)
  • Excellent, strong proven customer service experience, Time and stress management skills, Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, Self-motivation, Networking knowledge, Software maintenance, Performance tuning, Documentation skills, Reporting skills

    DUTIES:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to organize and support several ongoing projects simultaneously
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner and represent Keystone in a manner that is “a step above” our competition
  • Provides answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding clients through corrective steps
  • Resolves problems by conferring with vendors; providing support for desktop environment; consulting with and training uses
  • Prepares users by explaining system architecture and requirements
  • Maintains quality results by establishing, following and enforcing standards
  • Protects Company value by keeping information confidential
  • Meets technical support work standards by following production, productivity, quality and customer service standards, resolving problems; identifying work process improvements
  • Accomplishes information systems and organization goals and mission by completing related results as needed
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional associations
  • A valid driver’s license are required. This position will require regular travel within London and surrounding areas.
