On behalf of our growing client, we are currently recruiting for a full time Assistant Controller.  This will be a permanent position, and salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

·        Assist in the implementation and monitoring of company financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate financials and period reporting.

·        Assist Controller in ensuring that business issues are identified, communicated and resolved in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Company Policies. Proficient with PC programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows operating systems) and accounting based software. 

·        Complete all work required to facilitate timely and accurate accounting closes and period financial reporting (A/P batch posting, journal entries, G/L review, bank reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, PO register review and posting, etc ...).

·        Perform income statement and balance sheet reviews.

·        Assist controller in the preparation annual budgets, reports on key performance indicators.

·        Work with company external and internal auditors to ensure that review periods are coordinated to meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

·        Be able to show progression towards or completion of CGA designation

·        Be comfortable and knowledgeable with full cycle accounting
