Since 1949, TVCC has been working with children and youth to help them reach their full potential. Today, a wide range of services and supports are provided for young people with physical disabilities, communication disorders, developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders to support them in attaining the best available quality of life and health. In partnership with local and regional agencies, TVCC annually serves more than 9,000 children, youth and their families from birth to age 19 across Southwestern Ontario in over 700 locations.


We are currently recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Systems Administrator in Information Technology.  
Reporting to the Manager of Computer Support (Information Technology), The Systems Administrator is a key member of a team responsible for the design, deployment, and support of TVCC technology infrastructure. The role will collaborate with team members to determine future network and infrastructure needs.
The designated office for the position is London. A flexible work schedule will be required, including evening and weekend work, as required.

Responsibilities:
•    Implement, troubleshoot and maintain networking and information technology solutions to support the business needs of the organization.
•    Recommend and Implement secure, effective new solutions to meet organization business needs that provide improved function, performance and better return on investment.
•    Work with Computer Support team to build education plan and train users on cyber-security initiatives.
•    Configure, implement and maintain end point security policies and systems.
•    Configure and troubleshoot all network devices, such as switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, as well as nightly backup procedures and systems.
•    Network maintenance and troubleshooting, including updates and patching; monitor overall network health and activity, identifying and resolving any issues.
•    Develop and maintain documentation for network technology configurations, solutions and maintenance protocols in place.
•    Provide input and recommendations on TVCC technology policies and practices.
•    Other technology projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    Diploma in network administration or Degree in Computer Science, Network administration, or systems administration.
•    Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Open Enterprise Server or Cisco Network preferred.
•    Minimum 3 of years of experience in an Information technology related role with extensive knowledge of server maintenance and administration.
•    Experience with Microsoft 365 preferred.
•    Operational knowledge of server/data backup and restore, email services (GroupWise, smtp) Transport Layer Security, TCP/IP Networking protocols, DNS, DHCP and LDAP.
•    Experience with IPSec VPN's, Citrix XenApp, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, and Dell EqualLogic SANs, database management, Structured Query Language and Single Sign-On is an asset.
•    Experience with Micro Focus Open Enterprise Server, eDirectory, ZENworks, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, VMware ESXi and vCenter preferred.
•    Excellent organization skills and proven ability to manage multiple competing demands, delegate and manage time effectively.
•    Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication and demonstrated ability to work as a part of a collaborative team.
•    Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
•    Working knowledge of telephone systems, unified communication systems, cloud technologies, mobile device management.
•    Experience with database management and Structured Query Language, Single-Sign on is an asset.
•    Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
•    A valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
