Position Summary:
Investigate and analyze inventory variances to determine root cause and correct system inventory levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify problems and trends through root cause analysis that impact inventory
- Adjust inventory positions within the mainframe that affect inventory valuation
- Analyse received audit reports
- Assignment of Handling Class designations to new products
- Build reports to enable improved inventory accuracy
- Create, construct and distribute regular inventory analysis to the Management team
- Communicate with vendors and buyers, customers and customer service as directed by Supervisor
- Lead a small audit team to complete daily/weekly/monthly audit schedules within Inventory Control in absence of Supervisor
Skills and Qualifications:
- Committed to a high standard of safety and comply with all safety policies and practices
- Willing and able to work overtime when needed
- Team player with a can do attitude
- Proficient computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent math and reading skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
- Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred or equivalent
