(This Oppurtunity is open to Students)
Description: Support children with intellectual disabilities in leisure program in a day camp setting. The program is offered at an elementary school site and a secondary school site, which has yet to be determined.
Responsibilities:
-provide direct support to children with intellectual disabilities
-support campers in community outings
-support campers in planning of activities
-support campers with personal care
Experience:
-working with people who have an intellectual disability
-providing personal care
-present an image of professionalism when in the community
-knowledge of community and available resources
Please note:
This is a very staff intensive program where staff will be required to work 40 hours/week
This program is 6 weeks in length and staff will be required to work the full 6 weeks
This is a seasonal position which ends when the 6 week program ends
Applicants will be required to have a current (within 1 year) criminal reference check, CPR/F. A. As wait times can be lengthy for this, serious applicants should not delay in starting this process.
Only eligible and available staff will be contacted for an interview.
