If you’re an experienced quality technician with a background working in an ISO 9001 environment and are looking to contribute your abilities in an in-demand industry, this is the role for you.

Ramsden Industries has been a leader in the aluminum casting industry since 1946, and we are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. Along with your strong analytical skills, your organizational and problem-solving abilities will help you succeed in this role.

We will look to you to ensure that all our products meet our internal and customer specifications by performing various quality tests, inspecting incoming and outgoing product, conducting audits, and maintaining equipment and gauge calibration.

You will also train operators in various inspection techniques, produce written instructions, and ensure the release of conforming materials and products as well as containment and isolation of non-conforming materials and products. Your expertise will help keep our facility producing the highest quality goods and identify opportunities to minimize waste.

Qualifications:
  • University or College degree/diploma in a related field
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment
  • Working experience in performing calibration of equipment
  • Ability to understand technical drawings/specifications, GD&T
  • Experience in metrology
  • Experience in tensile testing, spectrochemical analysis, Brinell hardness testing, and x-ray
  • Experience in the metal casting industry is an asset

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting production activities in various process to ensure ongoing adherence to production processes
  • Safely handling molten metal to produce sample specimens in the foundry environment for various inspections
  • Monitoring product quality in production processes and performing first-off inspection on castings
  • Performing spectrochemical analysis on the melt and adjust chemistry as required
  • Setting up and maintaining Bosello x-ray equipment
  • Performing tensile and hardness tests
  • Writing instructions as required
  • Participating in PPAP and 8D activities
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

This is a full-time, permanent position in our London location. Expected hours are Monday - Friday, night shift. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. We also provide all necessary safety equipment.
