SUMMARY:

Presstran requires four experienced and safety-focused forklift operators for a one year contract position, $19.15/hr.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1.             Equivalent to completion of high school and/or related work experience
2.             Must have possessed a valid fork lift licence within the past three (3) years from an accredited training provider.
3.             Ability to perform computerized and clerical functions not requiring special courses
4.             Must successfully complete training provided by Presstran for safe operation of lift trucks
5.             Apply Presstran's 'How We Work Together' principles in day-to-day interactions                      
 
DUTIES:

1. Moves completed components, empties containers, partials, scrap materials, etc. (according to current container movement and storage guidelines policy) as required
2. Ensures department is free of misplaced containers and that stock areas are in correct inventory order
3. Keeps forklift fuelled and monitors fluid levels, filling as required and reporting any service conditions as required
4. Adheres to and follows the Materials Call System
5. Loads and unloads customer/outsourced bins and verifies shipments for accuracy.
6. Scan shipments for appropriate outgoing shipments
7. Service internal customers as required (i.e., maintenance, toolroom, cafeteria, production, etc).
8. Actively participates in the continuous improvement process to improve our productivity and quality
9. Performs stock rotation
10. Watches for quality defects on incoming and outgoing shipments and reports to Leadhand or Supervisor
11. Basic hardware and software knowledge
12. Comes to work each day, as scheduled
13. Approaches each day and each challenge with a positive attitude
14. Conducts themselves in a professional manner when receiving or giving feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive
15. Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and tidy
16. Other duties as required
