Electrical Engineer

What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of electrical power systems for utility/generation applications and markets
- Working with an awesome multidisciplinary technical team to develop/contribute conceptual designs, estimates, and proposals
- Performing system field research, analysis with studies, specifications, detailed technical design, development/fabrication, site installation, commissioning, and reports
- Training technical staff, strategic clients, and following/improving the application process for quality deliverables – on time, and on budget
- Acting as a key contact for clients and sub-contractors, liaising with internal project and operations managers to ensure overall success
- Generating project reports for operations monitoring
What We're Looking For
- An Ontario-registered Professional Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of knowledge/experience in electrical power systems analysis, design, and development for turn-key solutions
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge in:
- Transformer/substation design and in-service retrofits addressing high voltage ESA review, IESO-HONI-LDC compliance, and sub-engineering civil/structural disciplines
- Site drawings, Single Line Diagrams, EWDs, CWDs, and cable schedules
- Load-power flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies
- Protection relays settings and testing, ground studies and grid design
- Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy in work, and solid organizational skills
- Excellent project leadership capabilities, and willingness to mentor up-and-coming employees
- Motivation to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment
