Job Description

We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our Maintenance Team.  The ideal candidate will have a flexible work schedule.  The main functions will include maintaining and servicing equipment and automated processes within the facility ; troubleshooting the automated process; helping the fellow Millwrights with their tasks; assisting the Operations Team with specific needs such as breakdowns or line assistance.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance on all equipment according to schedule.
  • Execute electrical repairs according specifications and verbal direction.
  • Implement improvements and / or modifications to existing equipment.
  • Identify and perform corrective maintenance that could lead to downtime or line stoppage.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Provide detailed information regarding any required parts or tools that may be required.
  • Document findings for future reference.
  • Familiarity with Predictive Maintenance tools and techniques.
  • Actively participate in Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) sessions.
  • Comply with company safety rules and OHSA regulations
Qualifications:
  • Industrial Electrician (442A) or a licensed Construction Maintenance Electrician (309A)certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLC logic in any of the following: Siemens 7, Allen Bradley RS Logic 5000, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, etc.
  • Familiar with material handling systems, conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes, drive systems and industrial automation.
  • Proven experience in using tools specific to their trade
  • Ability to read electrical prints and OEM documentation.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Understand the cause and effect of downtime to the production line.
  • Strong knowledge of Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimum supervision
