An expanding manufacturer of Precision Tooling, Dies and Special Machines has an IMMEDIATE opening for the following full-time permanent position

Controls Coordinator/Leader/Lead Hand

General Purpose

 

This position requires the application of electrical theory or related knowledge in testing and modifying operational or developmental electrical control circuitry and equipment and electrical machinery in commercial or industrial plants. They perform various skilled, senior-level tasks in the construction, design, installation, maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair of electronic control systems and electrical systems.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

Typical duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

 

  • Coordinates team logistics
  • Provides team leadership and coaching for apprentices and new hires.
  • Focuses the team on the tasks at hand or the internal and external customer requirements
  • Communicates team status, task accomplishment, and direction
  • Responsible for applying policies/procedures and best practices.

  • Arranges for extra workers and evaluates the quality of work of team members

  • Promotes a safe work environment and responsible for the safety of his team.

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical, electrical, and electronic components of machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators exciters, and hydraulic and pneumatic devices

  • Performing preventive repair and maintenance of field, plant, and shop electronic and electrical systems, devices, equipment and components

  • Testing solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replacing defective parts

  • Installing enhancements and major upgrades to plant electrical subsystems and subsystems

  • Designing and modifying motor power control equipment circuits, reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics

  • Preparing schedules and coordinating activities with other departments

  • Planning and laying work orders or work from instructions, using sketches, blueprints, and drawings

  • Making sure that the accurate and appropriate completion of all preventive maintenance duties

  • Creating manuals

  • Ordering the required electrical components

  • Customer technical support

  • Quoting support

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Degree in Electrical Technician related field from a certified college

  • Certification in Electrical Technician field from an accredited institution

 

Skills and Special Requirements/Licensing:

 

  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with others

  • Should be able to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices

Good communication and organization skills
