Autotube Limited, a Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive parts manufacturer with locations in Strathroy and Watford is looking for experienced Sr. Quality Technicians for the Watford location.

Our products include water inlet/outlet tubes, oil/transmission indicator guide tubes, coolant tubes, air management tubes, and oil/trans fluid level indicators.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:

• A good understanding of quality assurance methodologies.  A keen results-orientated individual with a strong interest in continuous improvement, 5S, Kaizen activities
• Collect and analyze statistical data, failures, corrective and preventative action to ensure compliance, improve quality.
• Develop quality work instructions and training requirements for use in production areas.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measurement tools (height gauge, Vernier, micrometer, indicator, Bore gauge etc
• Prepare graphs or charts of data and enter data collected to prepare capability studies.
• Knowledge of 8-D, 5-why and standard problem-solving disciplines.
• Inspection methods, root cause analysis investigations and other process improvements.
• Oversee the calibration on lab equipment and process gauges as required and address all lab equipment concerns.
• Act as a decision maker for quality related issues within the scope of responsibility.
• Perform statistical studies and report data as required.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measurement tools (height gauge, Vernier, micrometer, indicator, etc.
• Coordinate with manufacturing supervisors and team leads to ensure quality processes and products.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of ISO/TS quality management system and its development, documentation and implementation.
• Bring experience in auditing processes including LPA, Process, Product and system audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.
   
• REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• College diploma in Quality Assurance or CQT, CQE designation with ASQ.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry in a quality assurance technician role preferred. 
• An extensive / working knowledge of all standard TS16949 quality system requirements for automotive parts manufacturing.
• High computer (Excel), word and Powerpoint and MRP, CEBOS system experience an asset
• TS16949 internal auditor and/or Core Tools certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of AIAG/PPAP requirements.
• Destructive weld testing and experience with metal forming an asset.
