In partnership with Prime Management Group Inc., Dale Brain Injury Services (DBIS) in London, Ontario is recruiting for a highly engaging, organized, and resourceful Manager to join their Leadership Team to facilitate the day-to-day operations and delivery of all allocated high-quality, community-based programs and services accessed by clients and families.

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Manager will work within the broad framework of DBIS’ mission, vision, philosophy, policies, procedures, and systems. Through mutual trust, respect, and harmonious relations among the teams at DBIS, the Manager will foster and support a working environment where staff feel valued, confident, capable, and committed. Ensuring employee development and accountability, the Manager will demonstrate an excellent capacity to engage, lead, mentor, and coach staff in alignment with the organizational mission, and will be responsible for hiring, orienting, and training Rehabilitation Facilitators and Shift Leaders, as well as assigning shifts and vacation schedules in accordance with the agency needs to ensure shifts are adequately covered. Likewise, the Manager will diligently mitigate high risk situations using sound judgement and by leading their team to adhere to all health and safety policies, practices, and procedures for the assurance of a safe and secure environment for all clients, employees, and visitors.

In consultation with the clinical team, the Manager will regularly ensure that client programs have adequate clinical oversight, and that staff are receiving the necessary education, support, and training required to be able to implement client programs as designed with a high level of integrity and accountability. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with the Leadership Team to prepare and maintain an annual program budget while ensuring the program’s budget meets financial goals and priorities with a high level of accuracy and organization.

To qualify for this unique opportunity, you will have:

  • A relevant Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or similar field of study
  • Experience working within the domain of Human Services, ideally
  • Several years’ experience managing a team to successfully achieve short- and long-term organizational goals and objectives
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills with a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in monitoring front line programs and services
  • Understanding of Human Resources and experience implementing Health & Safety best practices and procedures
  • Excellent time management, organization, and analytical abilities to effectively manage projects and support staff in their objectives
  • Experience working within a unionized environment - asset
  • A valid certification in First Aid and CPR
  • A valid certification in CPI – asset
